What is your counseling philosophy?

My focus is designed to help individuals realize their strengths and potential.  By emphasizing individual choice and responsibility, my clients can, with minimal assistance, effectively address and resolve issues that hinder the development of personal strengths.  My understanding nature, paired with my strong desire to see individuals succeed, allows my clients to grow in a safe environment conducive to the achievement of optimum life potential.

 

What is your counseling experience?

I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology and Law and Society from Purdue University.  As an undergrad, I gained valuable experience working with adolescents.  Upon graduation, I worked in the Mental Health sector, working with children, adolescents and adults.  I received my Masters of Social Work degree from Indiana University, Indianapolis, where I focused my studies on relationships and families.  I currently work in conjunction with adult men and women to help them make positive choices and better their quality of life.  I actively attend workshops to stay current in the field and gain valuable insight on counseling techniques that are effective with today's society. 

 

When are you available to see clients?

Monday-Thursday 6-10

Saturday  9-5

 

With what populations do you work?

My specialty is working with children (3-10) and adolescents (12-18) from diverse family configurations.  

Though I do also work with adults both individually and as couples.

 

 

What are your fees?

30 minute sessions are $55 (*ideal for kids ages 3-8)

50 minute sessions are $85

90 minute sessions are $165

     [* Rate discounts are negotiable based on your financial situation]

 

Do You Accept Insurance? 

I will offer receipts for all clients requesting one so that you can submit claims to your insurance company for reimbursement.  I request full payment for services at the time of each session.  I do accept Check, Cash, Visa or Mastercard, and Money Orders.  To inquire about the reimbursement you will receive from your insurance company, simply contact the customer service number on the back of your card and state the following to your company's representative.

 

"I am seeking counseling with an out-of-network, MSW, mental health provider and I would like to know what my coverage is, and where I need to submit my receipts for reimbursement."

 They should be able to provide you all of the information you need based on that.
